Let’s wake up and smell the roses, or the peonies, or whatever flower you choose to grace your winter wardrobe this year.
Yes, it’s winter, and yes it’s still cold and dark, and gloomy out there. But that doesn’t mean we have to take it out on our wardrobe does it? So stop trying to blend in with the weather – put that grey outfit down and pick yourself some winter florals.
Lush blooms in red and purple hues, scattered across everything from knitted jumpers to beautiful chiffons will soon have your insipid winter wardrobe emerging from colour hibernation.
One store putting a fresh spin on the idea of flowers in the winter is Fullwoods Boutique in Harpenden. Owner Linda Fullwood has selected an array of floral designs that will have you feeling and looking beautiful in these winter days (think garden-fresh not potpourri overload).
Choose dark and dramatic with floral accents on a stretch panel dress by Diva (£99) for a sliming sultry look. For textured florals, opt for grape and grey Dolce Vita dress by Hybrid (£120). And for staying warm but looking cool, wrap up in an Inspire fluffy applique jumper (£39). .
