Ellena finds that far from being stubborn, the mule is this summer’s saviour

Joy, ladies! This season’s hot summer shoe is the ever comfortable mule. The mule is a backless shoe worn flat or with a block or wedge heel. Either way, they are extremely comfortable. You can slip them on and off with ease, they rarely pinch, and the substantial heel makes them comfortable to wear.

This is the only shoe to be in this summer and they are taking the high street by storm. Appearing in a variety of styles, colours and designs you can truly have your pick of this top trend. The flats are perfect with maxi dresses or relaxed trousers, while the block heels offer more of a sandal feel. After scouring Herts’ high streets, these are my top five mules to love as the sun comes out.
